BEFORE SCHOOL PROGRAMS (7-8 AM)
100 Mile Club & NBA Math Hoop

Students track their steps while engaging in physical activity in the gym. Students earn rewards based upon the number of steps they complete. Students practice basic math facts while competing in NBA Hoops math game while earning chances to win prizes from the NBA.

Morning Enrichment & Morning Math Assistance

Students work on homework or other academic enrichment tasks such as checking out and reading library books, or working on assignments online such as MobyMax, IXL, Khan Academy, Prodigy, Little Alchemy, or other approved activities.

Student Council

Students work collaboratively to foster communication between students, administrators, staff and community to promote, organize and execute activities to promote school spirit and pride. Student Council helps students understand democratic principles and practices and provides a forum for student expression of ideas and concerns.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS (3:30-5:30 PM)
We offer bus transportation home for our after school programs. The bus for students living in Hopkinsville is on Monday and Wednesday. The bus for students living in Oak Grove and Pembroke is on Tuesday and Thursday. Students need to sign up in the Commons Area during breakfast every single day they want to ride the after school bus! Students will need to know their address and parent phone number when signing up. All after school programs include an hour of homework help (3:30-4:30), a snack, and an hour of the activity. Space is limited for each club.

Students work on collaborative team projects using Minecraft software. Students will also develop a project for this year's challenge at the STLP State Competition.

Students will learn the basics of sewing and participate in creating some very you-nique projects. We will also take part in a community service initiative using the skills we learn in the club.

Design, build and fabricate fun ideas such as the egg drop, edible cars and build design. Learn the six steps of the engineering process in a fun way using math and science.

Builders Club

Builders Club is a middle school branch of Kiwanis Club. Students will work on service projects in the school and community to develop leadership potential, to foster the development of strong moral character, and to encourage loyalty to school, community and nation.

Mentoring and Character Ed.
Students will be assigned to attend two hours of mentoring and character education as an intervention to improve student behavior and increase academic success within the classroom.

Students failing two or more classes ARE REQUIRED to attend academic intervention one day per week for two hours to work on missing assignments or redo assignments for better grades. This intervention is provided to students to help students at risk of retention. This program starts after the first nine weeks midterms.
